GPS LAAS Test Solutions

The Local Area Augmentation System (LAAS) allows a suitably equipped receiver to derive enhanced accuracy and integrity information in a local area, an airport, for example, to meet the stringent requirements necessary to land a commercial aircraft.

We have a product which provides the VHF Data Broadcast (VDB) messages which, when used in conjunction with GPS RF, allow testing of LAAS systems.

Spirent Solves Your Critical Test Challenges.

Spirent offers test systems that simulate GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, Compass and SBAS signals in a controlled and repeatable way. Ground based augmentation systems, such as Local Area Augmentation System (LAAS) can be tested using Spirent's unique LAAS signal simulator. Simulation lends itself ideally to certification and type approval applications.

Why Test with Spirent?
  • GPS, GNSS, SBAS and LAAS simulators available covering L1, L2, L5, E5 and E6 frequencies
  • Wide product range to support research and development, verification, integration and manufacturing test of aviation related navigation and positioning technology
  • Fully flexible control software running in real-time offers control over all test conditions
  • Streaming of all simulated parameters enables analysis and processing of test results
  • Interactive remote control interface for hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • LAAS VHF signal simulation to RTCA/DO-246 Type 1
