QZSS Satellite System Testing

Scheduled for launch in late 2009 or 2010, Japan's Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) will provide an augmentation service which, when used in conjunction with GPS, GLONASS or Galileo, will provide enhanced navigation in the Far East. Highly elliptical orbits allow these satellites to dwell at high elevations in the sky allowing enhanced coverage in urban canyons.

We are pleased to announce the world's first RF constellation simulator that supports QZSS: the Spirent GSS8000. In addition to GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and SBAS, the GSS8000 currently supports L1 C/A code and L1 SAIF QZSS signals.
