HAIPE® Testing
Why do you need to test your HAIPE® device?
The use of HAIPE® devices in the government provides an unprecedented information reach to achieve the goal of Network Centric Warfare. However, it also brings in new challenges, like Voice over IP (VoIP) and TDM over IP. Packet throughput, delay and jitter have become a critical indication of whether the application will successfully be deployed in the newly available classified networks. The change of packet delivery also affects TCP/IP applications through TCP windowing.
SPAWAR and Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) are using Spirent equipment to quantify the effect of HAIPE® devices in their network. With the precision of Spirent SmartBits and Spirent TestCenter, agents are able to help operational units to identify and duplicate the issues in the field. The test equipment also helps certify different HAIPE® devices and provide operational guidelines before deployment.
