GPS/GNSS Simulator Test Interfaces

Scenario Generation
Spirent's fully flexible software suite provides scenario definition, viewing and control on many of Spirent's simulation systems. It's functionality has been built up progressively since Spirent's early involvement in GPS simulation in the 1980's. The software suite is feature rich and the utilities now include not only GPS but also SBAS, GLONASS and Galileo constellation support.

Hardware-In-The-Loop
Spirent offers remote control and hardware-in-the-loop testing. A comprehensive package is offered which includes a wide command set enabling many simulation parameters to be controlled over various interfaces including IEEE, USB, SCRAMNet® & TCP/IP.

Simulating Inertials
Spirent supports Integrated GPS and Inertial performance testing by combining its powerful and flexible GPS simulation systems with coherently generated inertial sensor delta-theta and delta-velocity data. The architecture is readily adapted to a wide range of inertial sensor simulations.

Post Processing
Spirent enables capturing performance data from the GNSS system under test and making this data available for analysis. Two variants are available: a MIL-STD-1553 version using ICD-GPS-059 or proprietary messaging; and an RS-422 version using ICD-GPS-153 messaging.
