Tailored product line, global technical support, experienced bilingual staff

Yorba Linda, CA, USA (Feb 11, 2008) – Spirent Federal Systems, the leading provider of GNSS test equipment, announces its expansion into the Latin American market with GPS test and simulation systems for aviation, navigation, space, and defense sectors. Spirent will introduce its products during its inaugural exhibition at FIDAE 08, Latin America's premier aerospace and defense technology event in Santiago, Chile, March 31st through April 6th 2008.

Spirent's extensive product line was developed to meet the simulation needs of Latin America's businesses and governments; simulation is essential for controlled lab-based testing, from every stage of research and development to manufacturing and mission planning. Spirent's test solutions facilitate controllable, repeatable testing for every major application, including modernized GPS signals, Galileo signals and services, GLONASS signals, augmentation systems, Assisted-GPS in mobile devices, vehicle navigation systems, aircraft landing systems, adaptive antennas, inertial navigation systems, and military navigation signals.

Spirent Federal's announcement follows recently implemented advances in its global support infrastructure. With Spirent products currently operating in more than 30 countries and 50 government agencies, customer support was expanded to include additional field facilities and equipment. "Spirent is pleased to announce these improvements and to demonstrate our commitment to our customers around the globe," commented John Pottle, Director of Marketing for Spirent's Positioning division. "Many of our customers' projects are high profile and critical developments. The ability to get support and repair services quickly from sophisticated diagnostic equipment is an important element of the long-term partnerships that we seek to build with our customers."

Ellen Hall, President of Spirent Federal, noted that in addition to global support for clients, "Spirent Federal's staff brings years of experience, fluency in Spanish, and a unique knowledge of Latin America that comes from living and working there."
