09/08/2014 - Spirent GSS9000 Established as Flagship Standard RF Constellation Simulator System for GPS and Multi-GNSS Technology

Pleasant Grove, Utah - (September 8, 2014) - Spirent Federal Systems, the leading US provider of positioning, navigation and timing test solutions to the government and its contractors, announces that the GSS9000 RF constellation simulator has been reviewed and granted security approval by the Global Positioning Systems Directorate.

The GSS9000 builds on a long and proven track record of excellence in GNSS testing solutions, and is being rapidly adopted worldwide by key GNSS system and solution developers and providers. The flexibility, performance and capability form the foundation of the GSS9000 and its ability to meet the needs of users seeking a comprehensive and valid solution to their testing requirements. The GSS9000 builds on the capability and performance of previous flagship solutions from Spirent offering new levels of performance.

Higher dynamic simulations with even more accuracy and fidelity are enabled by 1000Hz (1ms) System Iteration Rate - a four-fold increase over Spirent's current GSS8000 product - zero inter-channel bias and a 0.3mm RMS Pseudo range Accuracy. The GSS9000 also includes support for restricted and classified signals from the GPS and Galileo systems as well as advanced capabilities for ultra-high dynamics.

The GSS9000 is highly flexible and can support the widest range of carriers, ranging codes and data streams for the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou as well as regional/augmentation systems. Its flexibility is key to supporting tailored and customizable solutions for specific and unique test needs. Multi-antenna/multi-vehicle simulation, for differential-GNSS and attitude determination, and interference/jamming and spoofing testing are also supported.

Spirent Federal Systems is showcasing the GSS9000 at ION GNSS+ 2014, Tampa, FL. Come see a demonstration or have a technical discussion on Booth F, or for more information please visit:
