SimIQ enables Spirent’s GSS9000 and GSS7000 Series simulators to capture, replay and share I/Q data files without the need for additional hardware. This capability opens up opportunities for testing receiver algorithms earlier in the development cycle, saving time and money while delivering greater collaborative processes to global teams through simple sharing and consistent playback.
SimIQ Capture is a non-RF mode of operation where I/Q data files are generated and stored by the GNSS simulator.
SimIQ Replay reads I/Q data from files and generates the corresponding RF signals, using Spirent’s GSS9000 or GSS7000, enabling receiver testing at RF. SimIQ Replay generates RF from I/Q files for not only GNSS signals, but also custom waveforms as well as interference/jamming.
SimIQ allows the full customization of I/Q data.
From RF to I/Q: Why GNSS Receiver Testing is “Shifting Left”
“Shift left” has become a common phrase in the software industry, but not so much – yet – in GNSS receiver development. It refers to the stage of the development cycle at which testing is carried out. In the past, software applications were typically tested only after they’d been written, meaning that whole systems had […]Read Blog
